Description
This is a replacement power tube battery cover on 2019 and earlier Riese and Muller e-bikes.
In 2019 and prior, the power tube models had a rubber flap that covered the power tube battery slot. This cover was mounted to the frame with two small rubber flaps. Unfortunately it was susceptible to coming off when bikes were transported on the back of car racks and sustained high wind loads.
If you lose yours, this is the item you need. And before you lose it (or after you replace it!) make sure you use a strap to keep this cover on when driving.
In 2020, the batteries themselves have the rubber cover fitted to them. Outwardly it looks very similar, but when you remove your battery, it is clear which one you have.
