We were delighted to be included in Russell Brown’s e-bike article in The Listener in June. It covered recent trends in the e-bike market in New Zealand with a focus on who is using them for transport and what sort of e-bikes that were riding.
One thing has already changed in the two months since it was published – supply has now reached and surpassed demand! So that’s one more barrier out of the way for more widespread e-bike adoption and another argument for government attention on investigating subsidies for e-bikes, which has been tried successfully around the world (for example in France where you can swap your car for a 4000 euro e-bike).
