The Moustache Xroad series is New Zealand’s favourite rail trail machine due to its combination of mountain bike and urban features. It’s a well appointed electric bike that you can ride in town every day, but won’t let you down or hold you back when you take it to the trails.

The xroad models historically sell before they arrive and most owners bought theirs as a ‘pre-order’. As of 2023, stock is finally starting to flow in fast enough to keep up with demand, such that most sizes are available ‘off the floor’.

A note on sizing

Moustache e-bikes are based on MTB sizing, which is generally smaller than Commuter/road sizing. Therefore, people who normally buy medium bikes might buy a Large Moustache Xroad.

The Xroad 3 comes in a classy gloss white and is equipped with the brand new 625Wh Bosch battery, Bosch Performance Line Gen 3 motor and a Shimano 10 speed derailleur system.

Compared to the Xroad 2 it has a larger battery, more gears, brighter light, a suspension seatpost, and an upgraded front fork.

Compatible with a large range of accessoiries

The luggage rack with QL3 system means you can attach the Moustache by Ortlieb panniers in seconds, giving the Xroad even more versatility. Its wide platform also makes it compatible with a large range of child seats. The MIK integration allows for quick fitting of a wide range of Basil bags and accessories, with more brands coming soon. Exclusive tubular Moustache mud-guards, ultra solid and reliable, are perfectly centred over the wheel to keep you and your bike dry and clean in all conditions.
