The genuine Brompton Electric is here! It’s been a long time waiting, but finally even their fans downunder can get a ride on an electric brompton.
Using a compact front wheel motor and a slim battery, the electric Bromptons keeps all of the portability of the original Brompton and retains an impressive lightweight setup. It weighs 14kg plus 2.9kg for its very easily removable battery, for a total of 17kg with battery.
The electric brompton comes standard with the front battery bag. A popular add on purchase is the larger ‘city bag for brompton electric’ front bag that the battery can transfer into.

The unique Brompton folding bike was designed and built in London in 1975 by Andrew Ritchie in his flat in South Kensington opposite the Brompton Oratory. Still made in London today, Brompton is making over 50,000 bikes per year and is the UK’s largest bike manufacturer.
