The FollowMe Tandem is an excellent solution to enable more riding with kids in a car dominated society. You can connect together whenever the traffic conditions or hills/distance would be a barrier to your child riding their own bike. And it takes less than a minute to let them free to ride on their own whenever it suits. Common examples are riding connected to get to a bike path and then letting them free. Or riding free to school from home and then hooking together from school pick up to swimming lessons further away.
On a personal note, our family is currently enjoying using the FollowMe to enable longer touring rides where our big cargo bike is not the ideal solution. You can see our trip to Port Waikato using Te Huia train here.
