Description
This is the mounting hardware for the external battery on modern Shimano equipped e-bikes.
If your e-bike uses the older style external battery and is equipped with a Shimano Battery BT-E6010 – 418Wh – Frame Mount battery, you will not be able to order replacement batteries anymore. The solution is to change both the mount on your e-bike so that it becomes compatible with currently supported batteries. This is the mount you need. And the battery you’ll then be able to choose is a BT-E8010 504Wh or a BT-8016 630Wh
Please note that some Avanti e-bikes that used the BT-E6010 battery cannot fit this mount. That is because some of their bike frames were shaped around the BT-E6010 battery as a slight attempt at semi-integration. The resulting frame will not be shaped correctly for this mount. For those e-bikes, you’re out of options for new batteries.
