Frame Locks

This is a high quality wheel lock for your bicycle or electric bike. It’s often called a ‘cafe lock’ in NZ. 

This product is compatible with Abus branded ‘plug in chains’ which allow you to lock your bike to a pole using the same key as this wheel lock. See video below for more information

Keyed Alike

We offer this lock ‘keyed alike’ to other Abus locks from the ‘Abus Plus’ or ‘Your Plus’ family (note that this is not the same as the Xplus family).

If you have an existing Abus bike lock with the Plus system, you can choose the ‘keyed alike’ option and give us your 6 digit Abus Plus key code. We will order your lock in from Germany and it will arrive in around 4-6 weeks.

It is also possible to key alike your Bosch battery lock on your e-bike, to match this lock, by purchasing a separate set. Please contact us if you are interested in that option

This lock is available in two types

1 – “R – key retaining” means the wheel holds the key in for you while you ride – the key is only removed by locking up the wheel. This makes it quicker to lock up (you don’t need to find your keys) and makes it more likely to be used. Also added bonus that you can prove the bike was locked by your possession of the key. 

2 – “NR – non-retaining” means you can take the key out even when the bike is not locked. This has the advantage that you don’t have keys jingling around near your leg while you cycle and means you have a bit more flexibility about where you keep your key (eg on a large keychain with other keys).
