Saturdays are very busy. This is great and good fun, but if you are just as easily able to come on a weekday, we would recommend that for a calmer visit with more attention.
How To Get Here
By Bicycle
We are just at the East Street entrance of the pink Light Path (Te Ara i Whiti) and easily accessible by the North Western, Nelson Street, Karangahape road and Grafton Gully Cycleways. You are welcome to bring your bicycle inside the shop.
On Foot
We are 100 metres off K Road. Which part of K Road? The corner of East street, 200m West of St Kevin’s Arcade and Lim Churr supermarket.
By Bus
The Red Bus comes up Queen Street to K Road. Get off as soon as the bus gets to K Road and then it’s a 5-minute walk.
By Train
The closest stations are Grafton (1.8km walk, flat) or Britomart (2.2km walk uphill or take the red bus to us) or Newmarket (2.7km flat walk or take the Innerlink bus). When the City rail link is complete, there will be a train station (Karangahape Road) right outside the shop.
By Car
While we are right next to the central motorway junction, it's best to use your GPS as it’s not so obvious which exit you should use. We recommend you approach from Canada Street (off Upper Queen). There is metered parking on Canada Street. If you see a spot, take it and then walk 2 minutes to the shop. If none available, continue onto East St and turn left onto South Street, where our front door is. Once you get to South Street, you cannot turn back to Canada Street (one-way), so if there's nothing on South Street, you have to turn left up East Street and try your luck on Galatos Street. If no luck there, it's left onto Karangahape Road (no right turn) to find somewhere else.
Another option instead of trying the above is to head straight to the Wilsons Car Park on Cross Street, accessed via Mercury Lane, from K road. However, there is usually a park on South Street, so not many customers are using the Wilsons car park. This may change over time as the area gets busier.
