Description
This is a traded in M3L (3 speed, medium handlebar) Brompton folding bike converted to Electric using the Grintech conversion kit from Canada with an eZee Flat Pack 20Ah battery.
Specifically it is using the Crystallite “SAW 20” motor with ‘statorade’ included. The electric configuration is made to be as simple and reliable as possible. It works on throttle only, with no pedal sensor or torque sensor. It uses a simple LED display.
It was purchased new in mid 2018 and hadn’t seen a lot of use by the time it was trade in to us in mid 2025. It is clearly nothing like the ‘real thing’ in the official Brompton Electric – the finish is rough, the equipment is heavy and you have to manually unplug in the battery before removing the front bag. However, it is much more powerful, faster and its battery is over twice the capacity compared to the official Brompton Electric.
A Brompton front bag is required to hold the battery. The bag was not traded in with the bike. This means you will need to choose one. You can choose from any of our stock up to the value of $300 and this will be included with the bike at no extra cost.
