Description

Tannus tyre liners

We stock a range of the Tannus tyre liners at the Electric Bike Team in Auckland. We recommend these to minimise the occurrence of flat tyres on your e-bike. In addition, if you are unlucky enough to still get a flat tyre through the Tannus, the extra benefit is that you can more easily get home or to us for repairs. The foam liner of the tannus allows you to walk your bike more easily without damaging the rim and in some cases, even keep riding (slowly).

Manufacturer’s description follows:

PUNCTURE PROTECTION

Armour eliminates 90% of the punctures thanks to its reinforced sidewall and underside protection.

INCREASED GRIP

Allows rolling at lower pressures for a better grip in both wet and rocky conditions or areas.

INCREASED GRIP

The Armour absorbs vibrations for a smoother, more comfortable ride.

RIDE FLAT TECHNOLOGY

In airless conditions, rolling is still possible for a limited period of time, at up to 10 km/h, without damaging the rim.

FAST ROLLING

Engineered to minimize rolling resistance (drag), the Armour provides the best balance between speed and protection.

EASY INSTALLATION

Installing the Armour is as fast and easy as installing the rim and inner tube. It doesn’t require maintenance

BETTER COMFORT

BETTER VIBRATION ABSORPTION

Tannus Armour semi mousse absorbs a noticeable amount of ground vibrations (e.g. loose rock areas) and it dissipates the energy evenly in the inner tube. As a result, the ride is much more smooth, silent and comfortable.

ABSORBS

DISSIPATES

LOWER PRESSURE

The Armour covers about 360º by giving a heel-to-heel protection, which provides a protective interior structure to the tire. This allows riding at much lower pressures without deforming the tire or making it slow or difficult to handle.

SHELL STRUCTURE

RECOMMENDED PSI

BETTER TRACTION

AT LOW PRESSURE

The shell structure allows the tire to flex with a low PSI while maintaining its shape.

IN GRAVEL AND WET AREAS

A lower PSI means more grip and confidence when curving, especially in wet and gravely conditions.

TO IMPROVE THE TRACING

Greater grip means being able to follow the ideal path more easily, without going “out of line”.
