Did we sell you a Magnum e-bike? We’re pre-empting a trade-in offer to you, due to spare parts availability getting tighter
This being my 15th year of selling e-bikes, there’s one unavoidable fact – the more time that passes since a bike was ‘current’, the harder it is to get parts. In this respect, Magnum has been much better above average and that’s no coincidence – we check this stuff carefully before we add a brand to our lineup and we were impressed at the depth of spare parts stocked from day 1 and their commitment to customer service.
Magnum sales at EBT peaked in 2019/2020 and we have been keeping them running relatively smoothly ever since.
Lately though, some inevitable holes are appearing in the parts availability, with longer gaps before they come back in stock. Please note this is mainly about Ui5/Metro/Peak models, as other models still have good parts availability. ‘Jack the battery man’ is the official pathway to get your old battery repacked with new cells. While the end result is likely even better than the real thing, it’s a result of the supply chain. More worryingly, controllors and displays for popular models are dropping off the ‘in stock’ list, so now some repairs and diagnoses that enter our workshop cannot be carried out and we really take that to heart, even if the bike is 5 years old.
We are pre-empting the situation with a trade-in offer for anyone who ‘wants out’ and will also provide us some much needed spares from the traded in bikes! Trade-in credit must be used towards another e-bike in store but it can be any e-bike at all – new, used, on special etc.
Offer valid until end October 2024, but by all means ask us after that date if you’ve come across this too late.
