Description

The Norco Fluid VLT A1 is an aluminum electric Trail bike designed and proven in the backwoods of British Columbia with a boost to ride faster and go further. With 140mm of suspension travel up front and 130mm out back, it’s the best way to fit in an extra trail lap before sundown or finally discovering what’s over the next hill. The Fluid VLT features a custom-formed aluminum frame with internal routing, generous standover clearance, and long-travel dropper posts. The Fluid VLT dials-up your ride with the lightweight, whisper-quiet Shimano EP8 drive system’s customizable torque and efficiency.

A smarter way of positioning the Shimano EP8 motor

Norco has tilted the Shimano EP8 motor upwards instead of positioning it horizontal. The benefits are increased ground clearance, a battery that sits lower in the down tube and closer to the bottom bracket, which should result in a lower centre of gravity and have a positive effect on weight distribution and handling. Another benefit of mounting the motor and battery as done in these Norcos, is that the battery can be removed via a small hatch at the bottom of the down tube. This comparatively small opening makes the down tube stiffer and stronger compared to eMTBs with bigger battery openings.

What is Norco Ride Aligned Design System?

Norco’s Ride Aligned design system is a rider-focused bike setup system that allows riders to tweak suspension settings, tyre pressures, sizing and geometry through a special app, for a near full-custom bike setup aimed at ensuring optimum bike/rider performance.

The difference between a Norco Fluid VLT A1 and A2

Both are very similar aluminium electric trail bikes, but there are a few differences. The Norco Fluid VLT A1 comes for example with a 1 x 12 Drivetrain where the Norco Fluid VLT A2 comes with a 1 x 10 Drivetrain. The A1 has also overall better Shimano componants, a more comfortable saddle, and RockShox rear suspension.
