The Magnum Voyager is an entry-level electric bike for tall riders.
The Voyager is the replacement for the Magnum Metro Plus. It has many similarities such as the same motor and electrical system which means it has a throttle and cadence sensor and great hill climbing.
A major improvement is the wheel size – they have reduced the wheel diameter to allow for a wider tyre (2.35 inches no less!) to increase comfort and to protect the rear wheel spokes, which were notoriously prone to breaking for heavy duty users of the Metro Plus.
The Voyager is an e-bike for tall riders only!
One significant change that all buyers should be aware of is the frame sizing – the Voyager suits significantly taller riders than the (already tall) Metro Plus. The top tube of the frame comes out horizontally from the head tube, making it very high. To safely ride this bike, you need to be able to straddle the high part of the top tube with both feet on the ground and still have an inch clearance between the top tube and your precious bits, in case you were to have an accident or need to dismount your bike in a hurry! So how tall is this? For reference, none of our staff in our shop is tall enough to safely ride this model and we range from 170 to 180cm. Basically, if you don’t have the seat post at its highest position (as in the extra images), you are probably putting yourself in some danger. In these cases, we recommend looking at the Magnum Peak.
